Harmony in the Home and Work

28 Jan

I don’t watch much TV these days but love history related shows. I was flipping through the channels and came across a rerun of Pawn Stars. Living in Nevada, I am curious about who will show up at their counter with an item to sell. Will it be Elvis memorabilia or an old slot machine?

The item was interesting and wasn’t related to Las Vegas at all. It looked American Indian – what could it be?

I was hooked … so I kept watching. It’s called a ‘FLAX BOW.’ I had to find out more. Turns out it’s also known as a ‘HARMONY BOW.’

Its purpose is to bring harmony and peace for all who reside in the home or work together.

It is so meaningful … the top is made from Weeping Willow, known for its calming effects and its ability to bend,  promoting compromise.

As a mediator, I love that part.

Beads are made from gemstones, seeds, glass/plastic and bamboo for healing and balance.

Various gemstones have different meanings:
Rose Quartz – peace, love and harmony

Clear quartz – clarity of mind

Mother of pearl – emotional balance

Amazonite – calming of emotions and soothing nerves

Turquoise – healing, trust, and kindness

I think I need to get one for parties to pass by as they enter their mediation!
